Primrose Cottage - Ballater

Primrose Cottage is in the garden of our own house. It was converted from outbuildings some thirty years ago, and has recently been totally refurbished. Just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of the village, it is convenient for shops and restaurants.

The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with everything we think you will need. A previous guest pointed out the need for a tea cosy, so she could enjoy a leisurely breakfast without the tea going cold!

As well as the usual kettle and toaster, there is an electric hob and oven and a microwave for when you just want a quick snack. The fridge has a freezer compartment, and there is a washing machine with integral tumble drier. There is a table which seats two.

The sitting room has a comfortable sofa and armchair, perfect for curling up and relaxing with a good book. This is especially recommended in winter, in front of the open fire. There is a television, DVD player and CD player/radio, and a selection of books and games if you want to forget about the outside world for a while. We have also provided some maps and details of local walks, as well as some other information and phone numbers which you may find useful.

The bedroom is fresh and bright, with a comfortable, traditional brass bed and pine furniture. The bathroom has an instant shower, so there is plenty of hot water for a reviving shower after all those long walks. There is also a wash hand basin and WC.

 

Prepare to be given a very warm welcome by Sam, our dog and to be checked out by Heather and Lupin, cats who like to know what is going on at all times!
