The cottage has a fairytale setting with the Geldie Burn and the Genechal Burn forming its boundaries on two sides, and the fir-clad Creag nam Ban hill rising behind it.

Crathie is best known for its world famous kirk, where the Royal Family have worshipped since Queen Victoria’s era and can often be seen attending church on a Sunday. Here you will find some of the best walking terrain in the country, with truly stunning scenery and a choice of forest and riverside paths as well as more demanding hill-walking and climbing. The Royal Lochnagar Distillery is just ½ mile away.
